Holiday Gift Guide – 13 and 15 Year Old Boys 2018

We start off this holiday season by putting together a list of items for 13 and 15 year-old-boys for Christmas, and we can tell you this list gets harder every single year as the boys get older. So as with every one of these Holiday Gift Guides, there are a few items that are a little pricey but what we wanted to give you is options and these are things that fill out guide, there are also a few options that rely on your children already having other certain electronics to work with these items. Let us get started and delve into the guide.

Funko Pop Fortnite – Kids love Fortnite and Funko Pop is the company to really do their characters right. Even though these do not get released until November 21st and later, you can pre-order them in time for the holiday for certain skins. Based on the amount of skins in the game that Funko Pop is making you will be sure to find a favorite. With the price point these could be stocking stuffers as well.

TP-Link Kasa Mini Outlet Smart Plug (HS105) – Automation is coming and with this smart plug you will be able to automate pretty much any device with a plug. We have a few of these in our house and they work great for lights. You can control the plug with an app or if you have an Alexa it works really good as well. Since kids love using their phones to do everything, this gift makes perfect sense.

Xenvo iPhone Camera Lens Kit Pro – Kids love their phones and love taking pictures. The lens on the normal phone is not able to do everything they want so a nice lens kit seems like it would make a great gift. The other thing to note is that sometimes while on vacation or even around the house, your kids have much better pictures than you do of events. Why not help them get even better pictures with a lens kit.

YoungLA Mens Soccer Training Pants Tapered Fit – While Adidas may have a pretty strong hold on the soccer training pants, we got a pair of YoungLA pants and were super impressed. If your kids might want something different these pants are top quality with a nice design down the side.

Arcade Light Switch Plate Cover – If you have a gamer they might need a light switch that fits their style. With the Arcade Light Switch Plate they can go button mashing with their light between matches of Street Fighter.

Connect 4 Shots – The boys love games that have a bit of strategy mixed in with some hand/eye coordination skills. Connect 4 Shots delivers on both fronts.

Creative Motion Supernova Color Changing Sphere – It is always fun to get the kids something that is just “cool” and this fits the bill. It is something that is very relaxing to watch and can help kids rest while acting like a nice light.

Elgato Game Capture HD60 S – If your kids are gaming and want to show everyone how good they are you will need a capture card. Maybe your kids want to get their own YouTube channel going, the Elgato Game Capture card has them covered.

suntrsi TF/SD Card Reader – This is a great device if you need to record or offload some of your videos and pictures to an SD/Mini SD card. We have been using the iPhone version with the lightning connector and it has worked great. You load up their app and can transfer photos and videos from your phone to SD card or from SD card to your phone easily. You can also record directly to an SD card, which is great when your phone is low on memory. It can also be used as a photographer to check out pictures you take on a better screen. One of our best purchases of the list.

HOW TO DRAW FORTNITE (Part 1) – Have someone who likes Fortnite and likes to draw, this book would be a great gift for them.

KontrolFreek FPS Freek Galaxy Purple Performance Thumbsticks for PlayStation 4 Controller (PS4) – This is a great gift for the gamer in your life and it is not all that expensive. These are custom thumbsticks for your game controller that not only look cool, but also help out with grip.

Gaming Laptop Lenovo – This is the priciest of the items on the list, but it was time to get our older son a computer that would play games as well as handle school work. For this year that felt like we needed at least a Mobile NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 to make that happen and Lenovo had a good-looking laptop with a great price.

Monopoly: Fortnite Edition Board Game Inspired by Fortnite – Monopoly is a great classic game and it meets Fortnite in a mash-up of classic meets the future in board game form.

PALOVUE Earflow in-Ear Lightning Headphone Magnetic Earphone – Our kids like to use lightning connector earphones and these have been the best price performance point we have found since they seem to let them go through the wash or step on them. The other nice part is that they don’t get tangled so much with the magnetic backings.

Sushi Go Party! Card Game – Sushi Go! is one of our favorite games of all time, Sushi Go Party! takes it up a notch.

The Original Tiny Hands Challenge Game – We know what teenage boys find funny that also won’t make you blush. Tiny Hands are just funny and they will have a blast playing this game that incorporates all sorts of coordination and mind challenges.

Native Instruments Maschine Mikro Mk3 Drum Controller – Have a budding beat creator in your midst? Maybe you have a YouTube or Twitch star that would like their own custom soundtrack. The Native Instruments Maschine Mikro Mk3 Drum Controller is a great way to start them off with some wonderful software that makes song creation much easier than you would think. The price point also will not break the bank.
